Now, Gabby mentioned the soundtrack is still under discussion and that they've heard all the feedback. I cannot recommend supporting this soundtrack in its current state. People such as myself chose to refrain from listening to it and to instead wait for an official soundtrack so that we can get the best experience: better audio quality, and proper artist credits for each track. There has been a gamerip for a while already, which also lacks proper tags. Taking over 3 months to release this soundtrack, and then asking $10 for it in its current state is frankly disrespectful to your fans. The first game's soundtrack had proper artist credits. As of writing this post, they're all credited as 'GalaxyTrail'. On top of that, all the tracks lack any artist credits. This soundtrack has many tracks that are this low in quality. That means it is literally worse quality than YouTube audio. You can see that there's no colour above the 16kHz mark. Now on the right, we see the OST version of Shang Tu Map. So, as we can see above, the YouTube version of Dragon Valley on the left is lower than the OST version of Dragon Valley in the middle, because the OST version of Dragon Valley is lossless and YouTube's audio quality maxes out at 20kHz. All you need to know here is: the higher the colours go, the higher quality the audio is. The different colours represent volume (irrelevant in this demonstration). I've now made it so the YouTube audio's axis stops at 22kHz, same as the rest of the tracks. In the previous thread, I provided a similar screenshot, but the YouTube audio's axis extended to 24kHz while the other two tracks' axes stopped at 22kHz, making it a little difficult to properly visualize the relative quality among the tracks. Now, to visualize the lack of quality among the tracks, I've prepared the following screenshot: I would not recommend supporting this OST in its current state. I know many people, myself included, would be more than willing to support that. Considering the current cost is $10, and it's 121 tracks, $20 for a proper OST would still be a steal. One of the team members in the discord mentioned that getting the music crew back together to make a proper release would double the price of the OST (because apparently asking them to export their projects in WAV is too much to ask). I could have been listening to the gamerip this whole time, since it's the exact same thing, down to the lack of artist credits. As someone who waited for and anticipated this for so long, I am truly disappointed. There has been a gamerip for a while now, and I held off on listening to it because I wanted to wait for the official release with proper artist credits. And it's very noticeable (seriously, 16kHz cutoff? That's worse than YouTube quality, which is already a low bar) All the tracks that are lossy in the game are lossy here. Not only does it lack proper credits, it's also just a straight gamerip. This is a super lazy and amateurish release.
